Dr. Dilara Sayeed

Dr. Dilara Sayeed is an educator, entrepreneur, and American Muslim leader focused on increasing representation, advocacy, and inclusion for all underrepresented communities. She's Co-Founder and CEO of vPeer, a virtual peer mentoring and community building App. Prior, Dr. Sayeed was Chief Education Officer at Golden Apple Foundation, Special Assistant on Strategic Projects to the Chief Administration Officer of Chicago Public Schools, and a 5th/8th grade teacher in Illinois public schools. Dr. Sayeed serves on the Boards of the IL Muslim Civic Coalition, Women's March Chicago, and IADO. She is a Trustee of the Field Museum. In 2021, Dr. Sayeed was appointed by Governor Pritzker to the Illinois Commission for Discrimination and Hate. She also serves on Comptroller Mendoza's Advisory Council, and Mayor Lori Lighfoot's Advisory Council. Dr. Sayeed earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Master's Degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Doctorate Degree from Harvard University.
